| Questions |
| How many meals do you cook at one time? |
| A typical
service is twenty meals: four servings each of five different entrees with sides
as appropriate. However, Dining Delights is flexible and will work with you to
meet your needs. |
| I am single and do not want to eat the same thing
four times. Do you have any other options? |
| Yes, Dining Delights offers the same
type of service but with only ten meals: two servings each of five different
entrees with sides as appropriate. |
| How do you know what kinds of foods I like? |
| During our initial consultation Dining Delights will go through an extensive
food questionnaire to discover all of your food preferences, allergies, and
special diet requirements. |
| I have favorite recipes that I would like you to
make. Can you do that? |
| Absolutely. However, not all dishes can be frozen. We can
leave it in your refrigerator for you to reheat and eat within three days. |
| How long does a standard service last in my
freezer? |
| That depends on the number of people and how often they are eating the
meals. Typically, a standard service of twenty meals will last a couple, two to
three weeks, if that couple eats the meals four to five times a week. If you are
single, ten meals will usually last three to four weeks. |
| Can you accommodate special dietary needs? |
|
Currently, Dining Delights can create low fat, low carbohydrate and vegetarian menus and
we will be happy to discuss other options with you. |
| Do you leave my kitchen clean? |
| Although Dining Delights is not a cleaning service, we make sure to clean up after cooking and
leave the kitchen as we found it. |
| Do I have to be home when you cook? |
| No, often
clients provide us with a key or a code to enter their home and we cook while
they are away. |
| Can any meal be frozen? |
| No. There are some foods
that do not freeze well. These items will be left in your refrigerator to be
enjoyed the evening of the cook day or within the following two days. |
| What type of containers do you use? |
| Dining Delights uses disposable, recyclable containers that are both microwave and
oven proof (up to 400 degrees). |
| What do you need from me on your cooking day? |
| Dining Delights will need as much cleared counter space as possible, an empty
sink, space in the refrigerator, and two to three empty shelves in the freezer. |
| When do I pay you? |
| A personal check in the full amount made out to Dining
Delights should be left for us on the day of service. |
